The Supreme Court ordered a vote recount in the Chandigarh mayoral election, declaring Aam Aadmi Party’s Kuldeep Kumar the winner. Eight ballots marked for Kumar were invalidated by the Returning Officer, but the Court ruled them as valid. The Court criticized the Officer’s actions, emphasizing the need to uphold democracy. The recount is expected to favor Kumar’s victory.
