Today, On 3rd February, The Delhi High Court granted one-day bail to Kuldeep Singh Sengar for his cataract surgery. This marks the third time he has been released on medical grounds. The court’s decision allows him temporary relief for the procedure. Sengar had previously been granted bail for medical reasons.
NEW DELHI: On Wednesday(22nd Jan), the Delhi High Court granted interim bail to Kuldeep Singh Sengar, a former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and convicted in the Unnao rape case, so that he could undergo cataract surgery.
Today, On 16th January, Kuldeep Sengar approached the High Court, seeking suspension of his sentence in the case related to the death of the Unnao rape survivor’s father. He has requested the court to delay his prison term while his appeal is pending. Sengar was convicted in connection with the father’s death, which occurred under suspicious circumstances. The court will now review his petition to decide on the matter.
