Chief Justice DY Chandrachud today orders the consolidation of Registrar’s Courts, merging them into a full-time court with morning and afternoon sessions, aiming to handle a larger number of matters more effectively. Ms. Sijata Singh will preside over the court regularly. The move is intended to enhance case management in the Supreme Court of India.
Today (24th May): The Supreme Court of India emphasized the finality of bail decisions at the High Court level, expressing reluctance to intervene in bail matters. Justices Bela M. Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal advocated for resolving bail issues without the apex court’s interference, aiming to streamline the legal process and reduce the burden on the Supreme Court.
