The Central Government plans to impeach Allahabad High Court judge Justice Yashwant Varma, following a judicial panel’s findings of misconduct related to unaccounted cash found at his residence. Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna recommended impeachment if Varma does not resign. The impeachment motion will require support from Parliament to proceed.
