The Kerala High Court granted the SIT another six weeks to continue probing the Sabarimala gold theft case. Earlier, it had directed investigators to expose the wider conspiracy behind the alleged misappropriation of sacred temple valuables and ensure accountability.
The Supreme Court today (29th Nov) criticized the Kerala High Court for wrongly granting bail to 17 accused PFI members in a murder case tied to RSS leader Srinivasan, stating that individual roles were not assessed. It also demanded an explanation from the Supreme Court Registry for failing to list certain Special Leave Petitions by the NIA.

The decision considered lengthy detention, witness testimony, and bail for other co-accused, diverging from the High Court’s denial based on the murder’s brutality and communal aspects.
