The case will be sent to the PIL roster bench, but no comments have been made on the merits of the case. Swamy alleges violations by Rahul Gandhi and requests the Ministry of Home Affairs to review the cancellation of his Indian citizenship.
The Delhi High Court has been petitioned by BJP’s Subramanian Swamy to revoke Rahul Gandhi’s Indian citizenship. This stems from concerns over his alleged roles in a UK company, where he reportedly declared himself as a British national. The matter will be heard in the coming week. The Ministry of Home Affairs is yet to disclose any decision despite seeking clarification in 2019.
