    [BREAKING] “We are Pained by Justice Rajbir Sehrawat Observations”: CJI Expunges ‘Scandalous’ Remarks in Order Passed by HC Judge

    A 5-judge Bench Led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud Today (August 7th) expunged the remarks made by Punjab and Haryana High Court judge Justice Rajbir Sehrawat in an order criticising the top court for staying the proceedings in a contempt of court matter. Apex Court said the observations made by Justice Sehrawat were a matter of great concern and ought to be eschewed.

    [BREAKING] SC Takes Suo Motu Cognisance of P&H HC Judge’s Criticism Against Stay Orders | 5-Judge Bench to Hear Matter Today

    The Supreme Court Yesterday (August 7th) initiated a suo motu case in relation to Punjab Haryana High Court judge Justice Rajbir Sehrawat’s recent order criticising the top court for staying proceedings in a matter pending before his bench. The matter is listed before a five judge bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice B.R. Gavai, Justice Surya Kant and Mr. Justice Hrishikesh Roy Today.
