Yesterday, 4th April,The Delhi HC supported Reliance Industries’ involvement in the BPCL-HPCL pipeline case, dismissing BPCL’s appeal. The dispute revolves around the pipeline being designated as a common carrier, contested by PSU oil companies. Reliance’s participation, based on its initiation of the process, approved despite objections from the oil companies.
Today (13th March): The Bombay High Court upheld a penalty on a CISF officer for a late-night request for a lemon at a woman’s door, deeming his actions preposterous and unbecoming of an officer. The officer’s claim of a medical emergency was dismissed, and the penalty includes a salary reduction and freeze on increments for three years.
