A Mumbai special court canceled the bailable warrant against former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, who appeared in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case, after previously missing hearings due to illness. The trial is nearing conclusion, and all accused are now required to attend daily hearings. The next hearing is scheduled for Friday.
Ramesh Upadhyay, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, Yesterday (May 14th) claimed that he was implicated by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) due to the then United Progressive Alliance government’s pressure to “justify their Hindu terror theory”.
