The investigation revealed tampering with question papers at Oasis school, leading to the arrest of two individuals. The CBI has filed multiple FIRs and arrested around 60 people in connection with irregularities in the medical entrance exam, prompting concerns about the exam’s integrity and potential retesting.
Complaint lodged by a Hindu outfit leader; Sections 299, 302 and 356 (1) of newly-notified BNS has been imposed in the case; next hearing on July 15. A complaint has been filed in Bihar against Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition of Lok Sabha, on July 2 over his recent remark on Hindus in Parliament. Divyanshu Kishore, a Hindu outfit leader, filed the case in the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court of Muzaffarpur.

The suspects were initially held by the Bihar Police’s Economic Offences Wing. The CBI is also looking into reported irregularities in NEET exams and manipulations with OMR sheets.
Today, On 14th June, The Supreme Court called for a response from the Central Government and the National Testing Agency regarding a plea for a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam. The requests follow concerns about potential misconduct and errors in the examination process, including question paper leaks and suicides of students in Kota. The court emphasizes the need for a response from the NTA before making a decision. The NEET-UG exam, conducted on May 5 with around 24 lakh candidates, has faced allegations of irregularities, including question paper leaks, leading to protests and demands for investigation. The Centre and NTA have revoked grace marks for some candidates and offered them the option to retake the exam or relinquish the compensatory marks. The NEET-UG exam, organized by the NTA, is a nationwide test for admissions to various medical courses in India.
Today (12th June): In Chapra, Bihar, a lawyer and his son were fatally shot by assailants while en route to court. The victims, involved in a family land dispute, succumbed to their injuries upon reaching the hospital. The legal community’s protest underscores the risks faced by those involved in legal matters. Two suspects have been arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
