Today(on 27th May),The Delhi High Court adjourned the bail petition hearing of K Kavitha, BRC MLC, till noon on May 28 in connection with the liquor policy scam case, following counter-appeals from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED), citing concerns over potential evidence tampering.
Today (7th May): A Delhi court has extended AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody in the Excise Policy Case until May 15. Sisodia filed a petition in the Delhi High Court challenging the trial court’s denial of bail. The case, investigated by the Directorate of Enforcement and the CBI, involves alleged irregularities in the excise policy, leading to the arrests of other officials.
On Wednesday (13th March): Manish Sisodia’s curative petition for bail was rejected by the Supreme Court on March 13, 2024. The petition stemmed from his alleged involvement in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. An investigation report highlighted financial irregularities, resulting in a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Sisodia has been in custody since February 26, 2023.
