A court in Muzaffarpur has accepted a complaint against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and UP Minister Sanjay Nishad over the alleged hijab incident involving a woman doctor. The case is scheduled for a hearing on January 3, 2026.

Following a Supreme Court ruling, the government was ordered to release pending salaries within a week, ensuring uniform retirement ages for all government doctors.
