The Karnataka High Court bench led by Justice M I Arun has reserved its verdict on former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s plea challenging the cognisance of a POCSO case registered against him, keeping the much-awaited decision pending for now.
NEW DELHI: The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has given the Delhi Police 60 more days to complete their investigation in the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) case against former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Naresh Balyan. The police had requested 90 days, but the court only approved a 60-day extension.
The Supreme Court of India has instructed Uttar Pradesh Police to investigate allegations against Ashish Mishra, accused of attempting to influence witnesses in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, which resulted in eight deaths. Mishra denies these claims, asserting they aim to undermine his bail. Further hearings are scheduled in four weeks.
