Supreme Court Refuses to Interfere in Higher Hajj Airfare, Directs Government to Explain

New Delhi: Today, 6th March, The Supreme Court of India has refused to interfere in a petition challenging the high airfare for Hajj pilgrims flying from Kozhikode airport. The court stated that deciding airfare is a “policy matter” and any intervention could “cause more harm than good.” However, the court directed the Central Government to upload a detailed explanation on its website regarding the increased airfare for flights from Kozhikode.

JMM Petitions with Delhi HC Over Lokpal’s CBI Probe Order

Today, 10th April,The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) challenges a Delhi High Court order directing a CBI investigation into the party’s two properties. The Lokpal’s directive stems from a complaint by a BJP MP against JMM Chief Shibu Soren. It alleges widespread corruption and unauthorized property acquisition. The JMM contests the order, claiming it was issued without proper legal procedure.
