Rajasthan High Court Orders Withholding Salaries of IAS Officers Over Contempt Case

Jodhpur, March 12 – The Rajasthan High Court has taken a strict stand in a contempt case involving delayed salary payments and arrears to public employees. On Wednesday, the court directed the state government to withhold the salaries of three bureaucrats due to a delay of over three and a half years in complying with its orders.

The Delhi High Court Today warned the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to disburse salaries, pensions, and arrears in line with the 7th Central Pay Commission’s recommendations or face dissolution. The Court expressed frustration over MCD’s financial instability and corruption, and rejected requests for intervention, urging the MCD to rectify its internal affairs promptly.
