Mahakaleshwar Temple VIP Darshan Controversy: Supreme Court Rejects Plea Against ‘VIP Darshan’

Today, On 27th January, The Supreme Court on refused to entertain a petition challenging the ‘VIP Darshan’ system at Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple, stating it is not for the Court to decide. The bench said such temple management issues fall outside its judicial domain.

Supreme Court: Courts Should Not Interfere in Academic Qualifications Unless It’s Illegal

The Supreme Court of India ruled against judicial interference in academic qualifications unless deemed arbitrary or illegal. It upheld that teachers hired before March 15, 2000, are eligible for revised pay scales, while those hired after must obtain a Ph.D. within seven years to qualify for higher pay or associate professor status.
