In a huge relief for former SEBI chief Madhabi Buch, the Bombay High Court Today (March 3) directed the Maharashtra ACB not to act on an order passed by the Mumbai Sessions Court, which directed it to register an FIR against her and other SEBI officials.
Today, On 3rd March, Former SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and other officials have approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the FIR in a listing fraud case. The matter was mentioned before Justice SG Dige and is expected to be heard tomorrow. The FIR was filed following a special court’s directive to investigate alleged stock market fraud and regulatory violations. SEBI has opposed the order, calling it baseless and arguing that it was not given a chance to present its defense.
NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, January 21, the Supreme Court dismissed petitions filed by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) seeking to cancel the bail granted to Chhagan Bhujbal, former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and current NCP MLA, and his nephew Sameer Bhujbal. The case is linked to allegations of money laundering in the Maharashtra Sadan scam.
Today, On 2nd September, The Supreme Court emphasized the need for restraint from individuals in high office during a plea hearing involving Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The case dates back to 2015 when Revanth Reddy was accused of attempting to bribe an MLA. The plea requests the trial to be transferred to Bhopal, citing potential influence on the investigation due to Reddy’s position. The matter has been adjourned for further hearing.
