The Supreme Court Today (June 21st) refused to entertain a plea challenging certain alleged controversial dialogues and scenes in Annu Kapoor-starrer movie ‘Hamare Baarah’.
Today, On 18th June,The Bombay High Court ruled that the film ‘Hamare Baarah’ does not depict objectionable content against Muslims and promotes women’s empowerment. The court acknowledged concerns and directed the removal of controversial scenes. It also addressed the need for sensitivity towards religious sentiments and highlighted the film’s focus on critical thinking and domestic violence.
The Bombay High Court issued a temporary injunction against the release of Annu Kapoor’s upcoming film “Hamare Baarah” until June 14. The film, initially set to debut in theaters on June 7, faces legal hurdles following a petition filed by Pune resident Azhar Tamboli, who alleges the film is offensive to Muslim sentiments and misrepresents the Quran.
