The Supreme Court raised concern over an alleged Registry lapse after an urgent matter filed on June 8 remained unlisted for over ten days. CJI Surya Kant said accountability would be fixed if urgent files were misplaced.
The Allahabad High Court criticized the Lucknow Cyber Cell for its handling of a complaint arising from a matrimonial dispute and asked the husband to explain why damages should not be imposed for an allegedly bogus complaint that led to the prolonged blocking of his wife’s mobile number.
Today, On 4th May, The Supreme Court criticised its Registry, calling its conduct nasty and saying officials behave as if they are super Chief Justice of India. CJI remarked, “Very nasty registry… each one here considers themselves super Chief Justice of India.”
The Supreme Court of India slammed the Government of Odisha for unexplained delays in filing appeals, calling its conduct lazy and terming the justification a lame excuse. Justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra Sharma said deadline failures undermined discipline.
