Haryana: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked the Animal Welfare Board, Haryana, to investigate the rising dog bite cases in the state and submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) within four weeks. The issue gained attention after a news article highlighted government data presented in the Lok Sabha by the Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying.
A Delhi Court has dismissed a plea for an FIR against Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge over alleged hate speech at an April 2023 rally, citing the complainant’s existing evidence and identity of the accused. However, the court allowed for pre-summoning evidence and noted future investigation could be pursued if required.
Today, On 26th June, The Delhi court directed the police to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) in response to a plea by Bina Modi’s Personal Security Officer (PSO) against Samir Modi. The PSO seeks investigation into alleged offenses committed by Samir Modi and the registration of a non-cognizable report (NCR). The matter is scheduled for a hearing on July 12.
