Delhi High Court grants murder convict a four-week parole extension after floods destroyed his crops, citing ‘An Act of God’ to protect his family’s livelihood.
Today, On 13th September, The Delhi High Court granted interim bail to four individuals involved in the deaths of three civil services aspirants in a flooded coaching institute’s basement. They must pay Rs. 5 crore to the Red Cross Society. The court also directed the Lieutenant Governor to form a committee to prevent coaching centers from operating in basements.
The Delhi High Court has sought a response from the CBI regarding the bail pleas of four co-owners of a coaching center where three IAS aspirants tragically drowned. The court acknowledged the gravity of the case and emphasized the need for solid evidence. The next hearing is set for September 11.
Judicial Magistrate Vinod Kumar of Tis Hazari Courts today denied bail to SUV driver Manuj Kathuria and basement owners Tejinder Singh, Parvinder Singh, Harvinder Singh, and Sarabjeet Singh in the case of three civil services aspirants’ deaths. Delhi High Court questioned the police’s arrest of the driver and scheduled the next hearing for August 2.
