New Delhi, Feb 4: The Delhi High Court given a final opportunity to the Delhi government to submit a status report on a case filed by several blind students who are seeking accommodation to continue their education. On Tuesday, Justice Sachin Datta remarked that the Delhi government’s social welfare department had been ordered to file the report, but had failed to do so.
The Delhi High Court issued notice to the High Court of Delhi, Central and Delhi government on a plea filed by district court judges of the national capital seeking appropriate government residential accommodations.
The Delhi High Court intervened in the eviction of a visually impaired assistant professor from her hostel at Delhi University, directing the university to provide suitable alternative accommodation and complete necessary civil works.
