The Allahabad High Court Yesterday (May 1st) denied bail to Uttar Pradesh Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Abbas Ansari in a case alleging that his wife had been visiting him in jail without complying with the formalities.
Abbas Ansari, granted bail by the Supreme Court Today (April 9th) to attend his late father Mukhtar Ansari’s ‘Fatiha’ ceremony. Ceremony set for April 10th (tomorrow).
On April 5th, the Supreme Court asked Uttar Pradesh to respond to Abbas Ansari’s plea to attend his late father Mukhtar Ansari’s ‘Fatiha’ ceremony on April 10th. Previously seeking permission for his father’s last rites, Abbas now focuses on the ‘Fatiha’ ceremony. The Supreme Court scheduled further hearings for April 9 to consider the matter. Mukhtar Ansari’s death is under investigation due to family allegations of foul play.
Today(on 18th March),The Supreme Court granted bail to Uttar Pradesh MLA Abbas Ansari in an arms license case, considering his detention period and alleged offenses. Ansari, son of Mukhtar Ansari, faces allegations of improper firearms acquisition, transferring licenses, and using multiple identities. The court decided against commenting on the case’s merits and emphasized bail subject to set terms and conditions.
