Delhi High Court Questions Maintainability of Petition Against AAP’s Poll Promise of Rs.2,100 Stipend for Women

The Delhi High Court, On January 9, 2025 led by Justice Jyoti Singh, questioned the maintainability of a petition by Vijay Kumar challenging the AAP’s promise of a monthly stipend for women before the assembly elections. The petitioner argued the announcement was misleading. The petitioner had also reported this to the Election Commission, seeking urgent action.

Today(20th Sept), The Delhi High Court dismissed Swati Maliwal’s petition against charges of illegal appointments made during her tenure as chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women. The ruling upheld allegations of criminal misconduct under the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
