The complaint, filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, claimed Modi aimed to divide the nation based on religion. The court ruled it did not warrant investigation.

Delhi Police Denies FIR Against Congress Leader Kharge for Alleged Hate Speech, Court Summons Issued

Yesterday, 8th April, The Delhi Police declined to file an FIR against Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge for alleged hate speech, citing jurisdictional constraints. A court issued a summons, directing the investigating officer to appear at the next hearing on May 24th. The complaint involved Kharge’s speech during a Karnataka election rally, comparing Mr. Modi to a poisonous snake.
