NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India announced a recruitment for the post of Junior Court Assistant (JCA). Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online through the official website of the Supreme Court of India. This recruitment aims to fill a total of 241 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
- Typing Skill: The candidate must be able to type in English at a speed of at least 35 words per minute on a computer.
- Computer Knowledge: The applicant should be familiar with computer usage.
- Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 years old and not older than 30 years as of March 8, 2025.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Junior Court Assistant post involves multiple stages:
- Written Examination:
- The exam consists of an Objective Type Written Test, a Descriptive Test, and a Typing Test.
- The objective test will last 2 hours.
- The typing test will take 10 minutes.
- The descriptive test will take 2 hours.
- Typing Speed Test & Descriptive Test:
- Candidates who clear the objective-type written exam and the computer knowledge test will be called for the Typing Speed Test on a computer.
- They will also have to appear for a Descriptive Test.
- Interview:
- Candidates who qualify in the above tests will be invited for an interview before an Interview Board.
- To be selected, they must score at least the minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee, which varies based on category:
- General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 1000/-
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Differently Abled/Freedom Fighters: Rs. 250/-
- Additional Charges: Candidates must also pay bank charges.
The application fee should be paid online only through the payment gateway provided by UCO Bank. Fees will not be accepted in any other form. No applications sent by post will be considered.
