Bihar Voter List Revision | Supreme Court to Hear Politicians’ Challenge Against SIR Tomorrow

Today, On 11th August, The Supreme Court will hear petitions by politicians Pappu Yadav and Derek O’Brien challenging the Special Investigation Report related to Bihar’s voter list revision, Tomorrow. The case draws attention to election integrity and legal scrutiny in Bihar.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India to heard petitions filed by politicians Pappu Yadav and Derek O’Brien challenging the Special Investigation Report (SIR) filed in Bihar.

A bench consisting of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi head the matter.

The bench decided to it will take up this matter day after tomorrow.

The petitions filed by Pappu Yadav and Derek O’Brien raise serious questions regarding the Special Investigation Report submitted in Bihar.

Both politicians have approached the Supreme Court seeking justice and review of the findings contained in the SIR.

The hearing, scheduled for the day after tomorrow, will provide an opportunity for both sides to present their arguments and clarify the facts involved in this case.

Earlier, The Supreme Court of India heard a group of petitions that challenge the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) order dated June 24, 2025.

This order had directed a Special Intensive Revision of the Bihar voter rolls ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. The revision process could potentially affect over 4.5 crore voters in the state.
