A Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant for Bollywood actor Sonu Sood after he failed to attend hearings related to a cryptocurrency fraud case. The warrant follows multiple summons linked to a complaint from lawyer Rajesh Khanna against Mohit Shukla. The case has drawn attention due to Sood’s philanthropic image. The next hearing is set for February 10.

Ludhiana: A local court in Ludhiana has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood after he failed to appear despite multiple summons. Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur directed the Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sood and present him before the court.
The case stems from a complaint filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna against Mohit Shukla, accusing him of a Rs 10 lakh cryptocurrency investment fraud. Khanna alleges that he was lured into investing in a fake cryptocurrency scheme.

As part of the legal process, Khanna had summoned Sonu Sood to testify in court. However, the actor repeatedly ignored the court’s summons, prompting the judge to issue the arrest warrant.
The Oshiwara Police have been instructed to arrest Sood and ensure his presence before the Ludhiana court. The case has now gained significant attention due to Sood’s past philanthropic work and public image as a social activist.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 10. It remains to be seen whether Sood will comply with the court’s order or seek legal remedies against the warrant.
This development has raised eyebrows, as Sonu Sood has been widely recognized for his humanitarian efforts, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. His legal team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the arrest warrant.
