A video has surfaced, showing lawyers in a court in Rajasthan’s Ajmer beating men who allegedly raped minor schoolgirls and forced them to convert after blackmailing them. The accused, identified as Rehan Mohammad, Sohail Mansoori, Luqman alias Sohaib, Armaan Pathan and Sahil Qureshi, allegedly gave mobile phones to girls to lure them.

Ajmer: Lawyers beat up accused in the Beawar mass-rape case on the premises of a court in Ajmer. The incident took place when the accused were brought to the court for a hearing in the case. The entire matter was recorded on a camera and soon the video went viral on social media.
Reporters were also present in the court premises when the incident took place. The accused were brought to the court amid tight security.

The five accused belonged to a muslim community and have been identified as Rehan Mohammad, Sohail Mansoori, Luqman alias Sohaib, Armaan Pathan and Sahil Qureshi. Two juveniles were also detained in connection with the case.
The entire matter surfaced this month when the parents of the survivors approached the police and lodged a complaint. They reportedly shared details of the people who allegedly threatened, blackmailed and rape the girls.
Four to five girls were sexually exploited in Vijay Nagar town in Rajasthan’s Beawar district, reported The New Indian Express citing sources. As per the police, the gang trapped and blackmailed school girls. The accused allegedly subject them to rape and even tried to convert them to convert them to their religion.
As per the report, the accused first targeted a girl. They allegedly assaulted and blackmailed the girl and forced her to make her underage schoolmates befriend them so that they could trap multiple victims. According to the report, the accused even lured minor girls using Chinese mobile phones.
The arrested persons are labourers. The case has sparked an outrage across Vijay Nagar. The incident also sparked a political storm in the state.
People are drawing a comparison of the Beawar case to a similar case in Ajmer which took place almost 33 years ago.

BACKGROUND
Four to five minor girls were sexually exploited in Vijay Nagar town in Rajasthan’s Beawar district, according to sources.
According to the local police, a group of miscreants trapped and blackmailed girls from a private school, subjecting them to rape and allegedly even tried to force them into conversion.
The Beawar police have arrested seven culprits and detained two other offenders who are themselves minors in this sordid case.
Family members of the victims complained to the police and shared details that a gang was behind this heinous racket.
The criminals targeted a girl by assaulting and blackmailing her and coerced her into befriending other schoolgirls and systematically entrapping multiple victims.
The minor girls were lured through gifts of Chinese mobile phones and were even forced to make their underage friends chat with the offenders who would sexually exploit them.
The victims on Monday revealed that the culprits, all labourers and belonging to one community, had taken obscene photos and videos of the girls and were blackmailing them.
The victims have also alleged that the criminals were even pressurising them to recite Kalma, keep Rozas or fasts, and adopt Islam.
The case in the Vijay Nagar police station area has sparked public outrage with angry residents surrounding the local police station, demanding strong and swift action. As people gheraoed the police station, demanding the arrest of the accused, additional cops were summoned from four nearby police stations.
The situation in the town remains tense as public anger is mounting.
The accused have been identified as Rihan Mohammad (20), Sohail Mansuri (19), Shoaib (20), Arman Pathan (19), and Sahil Qureshi (19) who are all from Vijaynagar and close by areas. Two juvenile offenders have also been detained by the local police.
The incident has triggered a political storm, drawing comparisons to a similar case in Ajmer 33 years ago, where schoolgirls were victimized through vulgar pictures and then subjected to rape and blackmail.
Authorities were under pressure to act decisively as investigations unfold.
