The ED lodged a complaint against Hemant Soren and four others at a PMLA court. Soren’s custody, related to a money laundering case involving a land scam, was extended until April 4 by the court on March 21, following earlier extensions from February 15.

Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) submitted a prosecution complaint against former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and four others at a specialized PMLA court.
The prosecution complaint comprises hundreds of pages.
On March 21, a special PMLA court extended Soren’s judicial custody until April 4. This is related to a money laundering case associated with an alleged land scam.

On February 15, the PMLA court ordered his judicial custody until February 22, subsequently extending it until March 21.
After his resignation as the chief minister, Hemant Soren arrested by the ED on January 31 and has since been held at the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Hotwar, Ranchi.
