New Delhi: AAP leader Satyendra Jain has filed a criminal complaint against BJP leader Karnail Singh for alleged defamation during a television interview on January 19.
The complaint was submitted before Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Paras Dalal, who has scheduled the matter for consideration on February 6.
According to Jain’s complaint, Singh made false and defamatory statements on a TV channel, claiming that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) recovered 37 kilograms of gold from Jain’s residence.
Additionally, Singh alleged that Jain owned 1,100 acres of land, which he claimed was amassed through corruption and money laundering.
Jain, a former Delhi minister and a key leader in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has denied all allegations and accused Singh of spreading misinformation to damage his reputation.
