According to the complaint, Shashibala handling some legal cases against Sachin Kumar and Nitin Kumar in the Thakurdwara court. The accused are residents of Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand, as confirmed by the police.
Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident took place in a court in Thakurdwara tehsil, Moradabad, where a woman lawyer was allegedly attacked with an inflammable substance by two men. The police reported the incident on Saturday, stating that it happened on Thursday around 10:30 am.
Advocate Shashibala, the victim, stated in her complaint that she was dropped off near the main gate of the Thakurdwara court by her tenant, Satyendra. Moments later, two men—Sachin Kumar and his relative Nitin Kumar—who were hiding nearby, threw an inflammable substance on her from behind.
Shashibala further alleged that one of the attackers also pointed a country-made pistol at her head and said, “Today we will give you a very good gift.” The accused fled the scene when she raised an alarm, attracting the attention of other lawyers.
The inflammable chemical burned her clothes and caused injuries to parts of her body.

According to the complaint, Shashibala was handling some legal cases against Sachin Kumar and Nitin Kumar in the Thakurdwara court. The accused are residents of Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand, as confirmed by the police.
A case has been registered at Thakurdwara Police Station under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections:
- Section 124 (1) – Voluntarily causing grievous hurt using acid or similar substances.
- Section 351 (3) – Criminal intimidation.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Kunwar Akash Singh stated that the incident is being investigated.

He mentioned, “The incident seems suspicious. The CCTV footage shows the accused at some other location. And this is not a case of acid attack; some inflammable material was used. The medical examination also does not confirm this. The matter is being investigated.”
The police further revealed that Sachin and Nitin entered Moradabad district from Kashipur, Uttarakhand, and left via the same route.
