The Hyderabad city police have filed a charge sheet against 23 people, including actor Allu Arjun, over a woman’s death in a stampede during the ‘Pushpa-2’ premiere. Theatre management is the main accused, while Arjun is listed as accused number 11.

Hyderabad: The city police submitted a charge sheet to a court involving 23 individuals, including prominent Telugu actor Allu Arjun, in relation to a woman’s death during a stampede at the premiere of the film ‘Pushpa-2.’
The theatre management has been identified as the primary accused in the recently filed charge sheet, while Arjun is listed as accused number 11.
Previously, Allu Arjun was taken into custody following the death of a 35-year-old woman and the injury of her eight-year-old son during the stampede at Sandhya theatre on December 4, 2024.

The chaos ensued as fans gathered to see the actor at the film’s premiere.
In response to the incident, the city police lodged a case against Allu Arjun, his security personnel, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint filed by the family of the deceased.
Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on December 14, 2024, and later received regular bail.
Both Allu Arjun and the producers of ‘Pushpa’ provided financial support to the injured boy’s family, and the Telangana government also announced financial assistance for them.
Actor Allu Arjun has been designated as Accused No. 11 (A-11) in the case. Additionally, members of his personal staff and security team, along with representatives from the film’s production company, have also been included among the accused.
Police officials have emphasized that the responsibility for ensuring public safety during large events rests with the organizers. The chargesheet reportedly outlines how insufficient arrangements and a failure to manage the crowd contributed to the tragic stampede.
As the court reviews the chargesheet and evaluates the roles of those involved, further legal proceedings in the case are anticipated.
