CJI DY Chandrachud Visits Tirumala Temple, Offers Prayers & Receives Vedic Blessings

Today, On 29th September, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud visited the renowned Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala to offer prayers. The temple, a significant spiritual destination, is frequented by devotees from across the country. Justice Chandrachud’s visit reflects the continued tradition of public figures seeking blessings at this sacred site.

Tirumala: Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, On Sunday, visited the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala, where he offered prayers alongside his entourage.

Entering through the Vaikuntha queue complex, the CJI prayed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

Following the prayers, Justice Chandrachud and his family received Vedic blessings from the temple priests at Ranganayakula Mandapam. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer, J Shyamala Rao, then presented the Chief Justice with a picture of the deity and tirtha prasadams (consecrated food).

The CJI arrived at Tirupati airport on September 28 for his two-day pilgrimage with family members.

Later, he also visited the Sri Padmavati Ammavaru temple in Tiruchanur, Andhra Pradesh, where he was given a traditional welcome by the temple priests.

A press release from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) said,

“The Chief Justice of India, Justice DY Chandrachud, visited the Sri Padmavati Ammavaru temple in Tiruchanur on Saturday,”

CJI Chandrachud’s visit to the Tirumala temple comes amid controversy following claims by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu alleged that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the temple’s Laddoo prasadam during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP government.
