The Union government announced the appointment of Chief Justices to eight High Courts across the country. Union Law Minister (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal shared the update via his official account on X (formerly Twitter). These appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the judiciary by filling key positions in various High Courts.

The Central government, On September 21, officially announced the appointment of Chief Justices to eight High Courts.

The newly appointed Chief Justices are:

The Supreme Court Collegium initially made recommendations for the appointment of Chief Justices on July 11. However, on September 17, it revised its earlier recommendations concerning the appointments of Chief Justices for four High Courts.
