UTTAR PRADESH: Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave a big statement about India’s legal system. He said that in the next five years, the government will create a system where people get justice from the Supreme Court within 3 years of registering an FIR (First Information Report).
While speaking at a big program in Lucknow, where 60,244 new constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police got their appointment letters, Shah said,
“We now have three laws in place – Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)… Paanch saal ke andar desh mein aisi stithi aayegi… ki koi bhi FIR hua… who FIR Supreme Court tak nyay naagrik ko teen saaal ke andar mil jaayega… is prakaar ki vyavastha banane jaa rahi hai.”
He also said that new technology and systems like CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems), ICJS (Inter-operable Criminal Justice System), and forensic science will be used to ensure proper justice.

He added,
“We must ensure justice based on all the facilities and technology of CCTNS, ICJS, and forensic science.”
Amit Shah praised the UP Police for becoming the biggest police force in the country. He also appreciated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his team. According to him, such a large number of police jobs were given without any corruption or bias.
He said,
“In niyuktiyon mein na kharchi, na parchi, na shifarish, na hi jaati ke aadhar par koi bhed bhav hua.”
He also added:
“The recruitment process was transparent and completely based on merit.”
Out of the total 60,244 recruits, around 12,000 are women. Shah congratulated the UP Government for giving proper reservation to women in police jobs.
Shah said that while the modernization of police started across India under PM Modi, in Uttar Pradesh, it truly began after 2017 when the BJP came to power with CM Yogi Adityanath.
He also said that India will become the number one country by the year 2047 and UP will play a big role in this progress.
“In 2047, our country will be number one in the world and our Uttar Pradesh should have the biggest contribution in it. …Whether it is contribution in the industrial sector, in education, law and order, infrastructure, providing electricity to every house… in every sector, under the leadership of Modi ji, Yogi ji has successfully ushered change by implementing the schemes.”
Shah said that under Yogi Adityanath’s government, UP has become “danga mukta (riot-free)” and goons no longer control law and order like before. He said that Naxalism, which was earlier in 11 states, now remains in only 3 states. He promised that by March 31, 2026, India will be completely free from Naxalism.
He advised the new police constables to serve during this special time of ‘Amrit Kal’ and be part of India’s journey to become a global leader. He told them that criminals should fear the police, but for poor people, backward classes, and Scheduled Tribes, the police should be like “messiah (saviour).”
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also spoke at the event. He said that in the last eight years, his government created more than 8.5 lakh government jobs, including around 1.25 lakh in the police department.
He said,
“The double-engine government has set a benchmark for a clean and transparent recruitment process.”
He proudly mentioned that even youths from the poorest families have joined the police.
He asked the new recruits to train hard and serve with kindness.
He said,
“The more you sweat during training, the less blood will be shed (later)…”
and advised them to be friendly, sensitive and solution-oriented.
CM Yogi also thanked Amit Shah for supporting UP in building military and paramilitary training facilities from 2017. Because of this, the state now has the capacity to train more than 60,000 police officers locally.
Right now, eight new forensic labs are running, and six more are being built. All 75 districts in UP have two mobile forensic vans each, and cybercrime units are present in every district. Also, 1,994 police stations now have cyber help desks to handle digital crimes better.
