NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar confirmed this on Friday, emphasizing that such comments were “simply not acceptable.”

NEW DELHI: Today, 7th March, Popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, and Apoorva Mukhija have submitted written apologies to the National Commission for Women (NCW) for making offensive remarks on the online show “India’s Got Latent.”
NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar confirmed this on Friday, emphasizing that such comments were “simply not acceptable.”
On Thursday, Allahbadia, Mukhija, and the show’s producers, Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari, appeared before the NCW. According to sources, the two YouTubers were questioned for several hours regarding their statements.
Addressing the media on Friday, NCW Chief Vijaya Rahatkar firmly stated, “The commission will not accept the use of inappropriate language. Such remarks are simply not acceptable.”
Rahatkar mentioned that all four individuals regretted their remarks.
“Keeping the social impact in mind, they were issued notices. They came before the commission and expressed deep regret. They said they should not have spoken in such a manner and have now submitted ‘maafinama’ (written apology),” she said.
Ranveer Allahbadia, in particular, assured the commission that he would be more careful in the future.
He reportedly told the panel,
“This is the first and last time such a mistake has happened. From now on, I will think carefully and speak with respect toward women.”
The NCW took cognizance of the remarks made by Allahbadia, Mukhija, and others on comedian Samay Raina’s show, which had sparked outrage last month.
Several FIRs were filed against Allahbadia for his controversial comments about parents and sex. Though the Supreme Court granted him interim protection from arrest, it strongly condemned his words. The apex court termed his remarks as “vulgar” and criticized him, stating he had a “dirty mind” that “shamed society.”
After the controversy escalated, teams from the Mumbai and Assam police went to Allahbadia’s house to record his statement. However, when they reached there, they found that his house was locked. The next day, Ranveer Allahbadia posted a message on social media, saying that he was ready to cooperate with the authorities and answer any questions. He also repeated that he had received death threats.
