Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alongside Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, inaugurated significant enhancements at his childhood school in Pauri district. Adityanath expressed joy over the modernizations, praising educational reforms and societal involvement. Dhami highlighted the state’s progress, linking dedication in education to broader development, and encouraged students to excel academically for a brighter future.

Thangar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, inaugurated new construction and beautification work at his childhood school, the Government Primary School Thangar in Yamkeshwar Vikaskhand, Pauri district. The event, held on Saturday, also included the launch of the Gram Panchur Barat Ghar.
Yogi Adityanath’s Nostalgic Visit to His School
This school holds a special place in Yogi Adityanath’s heart, as he studied here until Class 5. Speaking at the event, he expressed immense happiness at returning to his roots and seeing the transformation of the school with modern amenities.
“The school looks very different from my time, and I am delighted to see the changes,”
he remarked.
Commendation for Education Reforms
CM Yogi praised the efforts of the Uttarakhand government and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for education. He acknowledged that the school now has smart classrooms, modern labs, washrooms, and virtual classes, provided by India Glycols Limited (IGL).
“Earlier, such resources were not available, but today, with the effective use of technology, big changes are taking place in education. If the government has a clear vision and society actively participates, remarkable progress is possible in any field,”
Yogi Adityanath said.
He also appreciated past teachers who, despite limited resources, maintained discipline and dedication, helping students succeed despite challenges.
Role of Society in Education Development
CM Yogi emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and private institutions in improving school infrastructure. He said that with modern resources now available, teachers have an even greater responsibility to provide the best education to students.

Reflecting on his childhood, Yogi recalled that earlier, teachers were strict and even used sticks, yet parents never complained because they trusted educators to shape their children’s future.
“Teachers not only educated us but also made us aware of national and global events,”
he added.
He further stated that nation-building is not just the responsibility of the government but requires active participation from society. Only when education is prioritized can a stronger future be built.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s Praise for Yogi Adityanath
Welcoming Yogi Adityanath back to his hometown, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called it an honor for Devbhoomi.
“It is a matter of pride that Chief Minister Yogi studied here. No one is great by birth, but they achieve greatness through hard work and determination. His life is proof that with dedication, one can achieve anything,”
said Dhami.
He also acknowledged Yogi Adityanath’s journey from an ordinary family to becoming the CM of the most populous state in India, calling him a true Karmayogi.
“Before 2017, there was an atmosphere of anarchy in Uttar Pradesh. But today, under Yogi’s leadership, UP has transformed into an excellent state with continuous infrastructure development,”
Dhami stated.
Educational and Infrastructure Developments in Uttarakhand
CM Dhami shared that according to NITI Aayog’s latest report, Uttarakhand ranks first in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He highlighted that the unemployment rate in the state has decreased, and quality education has significantly improved.
Schools across the state are now equipped with modern labs, virtual classrooms, libraries, and washrooms, providing students with a better learning environment.
He urged Yogi Adityanath to consider extending the Ganga Expressway from Prayagraj to Meerut all the way to Haridwar to boost connectivity.
A Message to Students
Both Chief Ministers encouraged students to prioritize education and study with dedication. Dhami said that when children work hard, they bring pride to Uttarakhand and India.
Rajendra Singh Rawat, Yogi Adityanath’s former teacher, fondly recalled that Yogi was always a bright and disciplined student.
With this visit, Yogi Adityanath’s homecoming became a celebration of progress in education, symbolizing the importance of preserving values while embracing modern advancements.
