A Jodhpur businessman has alleged that he was defrauded of Rs.65 lakh by two men who claimed close links with Supreme Court and Rajasthan High Court judges, promising to influence verdicts in his favour using their connections.

A businessman from Jodhpur has filed a police complaint, alleging he was defrauded of Rs.65 lakh by two individuals who falsely claimed to have direct connections with judges from the Supreme Court and the Rajasthan High Court, asserting they could influence court rulings.
The complainant, Gautamchand Gulecha, a resident of Kamla Nehru Nagar, registered an FIR at the Sardarpura police station against Sunder Lal Malu and Gordhan Singh Bhati.
According to the FIR, the accused persuaded him that they had access to the Chief Justice of India and several judges from the Rajasthan High Court. To support their claims, they even presented Gulecha with photographs that allegedly featured them alongside members of the judiciary.
Gulecha recounted that the alleged fraud began approximately four years ago when he was introduced to the accused by an associate named Manohar Lal Panwar.

In September 2021, Malu and Bhati met Gulecha at a hotel in Jodhpur, claiming they could sway the outcome of a court case involving his firm, RK Industries, related to a land dispute with RIICO.
Believing their assurances, Gulecha made several payments totaling Rs.65 lakh. According to his statement, he transferred Rs.11 lakh via RTGS to Malu’s account on September 22, 2021, followed by another Rs.5 lakh the next day. On October 4, he sent Rs.10 lakh in cash to Jaipur.

He allegedly handed over an additional Rs.39 lakh in installments. The accused reportedly provided receipts and promised to return the money if they did not achieve the desired outcome.
However, when the case did not resolve in his favor, Gulecha realized he had been deceived. His repeated requests for a refund were met with delays and excuses, and the accused ultimately refused to return the money. This prompted him to approach the police and formally file a complaint.
