Delhi High Court Advocate’s Mysterious Death in Noida: Husband Detained Amid Property Dispute Suspicions

In a shocking incident, Renu Sinha, a 61-year-old lawyer who previously practiced at the Delhi High Court, was found dead in her Noida residence on Sunday. Her husband, Nitin Nath Sinha, who was initially missing post the incident, has been arrested by the police.

According to reports, Renu Sinha resided in Sector 20, Noida, with her husband. The police were alerted to the situation when Sinha’s brother, unable to reach her for two days, visited her home and found the door locked from the inside. On forcibly entering the premises, the police discovered Sinha’s lifeless body in the bathroom.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Noida), Rajneesh Kumar, stated that Sinha’s brother had been trying to contact her since Sunday morning. However, his calls went unanswered, prompting him to visit her residence and subsequently alert the authorities.

Nitin Nath Sinha, the deceased’s husband, had reportedly locked himself in a storage room within the house for over 36 hours. The police managed to trace and apprehend him by tracking his phone signal. Sinha’s brother expressed suspicion to the police that her husband might have been involved in her death, citing potential property disputes between the couple as a possible motive.

The police revealed that the couple’s son resides in the United States and visits his family in India once or twice a year. They also mentioned that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Nitin Sinha under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to murder.

The exact cause of Renu Sinha’s death remains unclear, and the police are awaiting the postmortem report to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding her demise. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal actions are anticipated in this case.
