Lawyer Demands Rs 1 Crore for ‘Saving’ Ex-CJI Dipak Misra from 'Humiliation, Insult, Torture, & Removal'

UTTAR PRADESH: The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court will hear a case today where a lawyer has asked the Union Ministry of Law and Justice to give him Rs. 1 crore as fees and expenses.

He claims this money is for his efforts in protecting the then Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra, from-

“Humiliation, insult, torture, and removal”

Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Om Prakash Shukla will be the judges who will listen to this matter in court.

The lawyer, Ashok Pandey, who is also the petitioner in this case, will personally argue his side in front of the judges.

In another instance, Pandey was fined Rs 1 lakh for challenging the restoration of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s Lok Sabha membership.

These incidents highlight Pandey’s history of filing PILs and the judiciary’s response to petitions deemed frivolous.
