Delhi High Court Orders YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh’s Video on Isha Foundation & Sadhguru to Be Taken Down

The Delhi High Court Today (March 12) directed Google, Meta, and X to take down Shyam Meera Singh’s video on Isha Foundation and Sadhguru, banning its further publication and public sharing. The case, filed by Isha Foundation, is set for its next hearing on July 9.

Delhi High Court Orders YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh’s Video on Isha Foundation & Sadhguru to Be Taken Down

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court today ordered Google, X (formerly Twitter), and Meta to remove a recent video posted by journalist and YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh about Isha Foundation and its founder Jaggi Sadhguru.

This decision was made on Wednesday by Justice Subramonium Prasad in response to a case filed by Isha Foundation.

Additionally, the Court has directed Shyam Meera Singh to stop sharing or publishing the video and has also restricted the public from uploading or distributing the video on any social media platform.

“Defendant 4 [Shyam Meera Singh] … subscribers of the channel of defendant no. 4 are restrained from creating, publishing, uploading, the disseminating defamatory videos….”

The Court has scheduled the next hearing of this case for July 9 and also set May 9 as the date for discussing Isha Foundation’s interim application.

Recently, Shyam Meera Singh uploaded a video discussing certain activities at Isha Foundation.

During the court proceedings, the lawyer representing Isha Foundation informed the court that:

“Defendant Shyam Meera Singh on February 19 wrote an email to plaintiff stating that he is a YouTube journalist and he intends to make a video regarding Sadhguru allegedly asking minor girls to take off their upper clothes. He asked certain questions about the allegations.”

The case continues, and further legal proceedings will determine the next course of action.
