It signifies the expanding range of amenities accessible within the High Court complex.

New Delhi: Yesterday 3rd April,The introduction of a Starbucks outlet in the Delhi High Court now offers a venue for coffee, snacks, and legal discussions.

On Tuesday, a significant gathering of lawyers, interns, and legal researchers convened on the ground floor of the S Block of the High Court. Among them, some came merely to witness the debut of the inaugural Starbucks establishment within the court premises, while others eagerly indulged in their preferred beverages such as Frappuccino, Lattes, and Americano.

High Court judges and members of the Delhi High Court Bar Association presided over the inauguration of the store on Tuesday evening.

Acting Chief Justice Manmohan revealed plans for McDonald’s and Sagar Ratna to open outlets in the High Court soon.

Justice V Kameswar Rao humorously remarked that the arrival of Starbucks and McDonald’s signifies the Delhi High Court’s internationalization.

He further commented,

“With these new amenities, I trust that the unity among the bar members will strengthen.”

Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) President Mohit Mathur stated,

“The renovation of the Delhi High Court Glass Canteen will guarantee the complete satisfaction of the bar members’ needs.”

During the inauguration of the Starbucks outlet, Justice Manmohan stated,

That both the old and new canteens will expand as they cater to different segments.
