“The court requires a comprehensive answer regarding the number of transfers of OMR data from the initial server and whether the server data has been altered, including the frequency of such alterations,” he stated, underscoring the need for a satisfactory response.
On May 3, Justice Mantha posed several inquiries regarding the case, including whether the CBI should enlist another reputable private organization to attempt the recovery of erased data from the ADF Scanner. This scanner was used to capture mirrored images of the original OMR sheets completed by each candidate.
According to the CBI report, Kaushik Majhi, a partner at S Basu and Company, allegedly destroyed the data stored by this ADF Scanner, which supplied 8,000 OMR sheets to the Board.
The CBI has been given seven weeks to submit a detailed progress report on these matters, which pertain to multiple cases filed by Shantanu Shit against the state regarding primary school recruitments.
