Officials indicated that the High Court is expected to hear their petition on Monday.

The Bengaluru police, acting on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Bikas Kumar, dispatched a four-member team to Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur, where Nikita Singhania currently resides.

The officers pasted a notice at her residence, instructing her and her family to cooperate with the investigation.

The notice stated:

“There are reasonable grounds to interrogate you to ascertain the facts and circumstances. You are directed to appear before the investigating officer at Bengaluru within 3 days.”

The Tragic Death of Atul Subhash

Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old deputy general manager at a private firm, was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment on Monday.

His death was accompanied by a distressing 24-page suicide note, which accused his wife and her family of persistent harassment.

According to his allegations, the family had filed multiple false cases against him, causing immense personal and professional turmoil.

In his suicide note, Atul wrote:

“The more I work hard and become better at my work, the more I and my family will be harassed and extorted and the whole legal system will encourage and help my harassers… Now, with me gone, there won’t be any money and there won’t be any reason to harass my old parents and my brother. I may have destroyed my body but it has saved everything I believe in.”

Police Investigation Underway

Following the tragic incident, the Bengaluru police registered a case against Nikita Singhania and her family, launching a thorough investigation. Two special teams have been formed to probe the circumstances leading to the techie’s death and the allegations of harassment mentioned in the suicide note.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda commented on the case:

“A case has been registered already and two teams have been formed. The case has been filed based on his brother’s complaint and the investigation is going on. We are gathering proof. We will ensure justice is delivered.”

This case has stirred widespread attention, highlighting the severe consequences of mental and emotional stress and the necessity for a fair and thorough judicial process to address such disputes.
