RAJASTHAN: On March 8th, in Bikaner, at a state-level ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman’ campaign, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud emphasized the necessity of mutual fraternity for upholding equality in the nation.
He questioned the potential progress of the country amidst internal conflicts, advocating for mutual respect aligned with constitutional principles.
Justice Chandrachud emphasized the paramount importance of human dignity in the vision of the Constitution’s framers, particularly highlighting Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s role in embedding values of justice, liberty, equality, fraternity, and individual dignity within the Constitution.
According to Chief Justice Chandrachud, fraternity is the glue that binds our diverse society and ensures fairness for all. He urged people to embrace unity across cultural, religious, and social divides to create a more inclusive and just society.

The Chief Justice explained how the principle of fraternity is integral to our Constitution, promoting democracy and social justice. He called on individuals and institutions to uphold values of respect and empathy to combat discrimination and inequality effectively.
The Important Figures at the event consist of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Union Minister of State (I/C) for the Ministry of Law & Justice; Dr. Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India; Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, who serves as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court; and Shri Jogaram Patel, the Law Minister of Rajasthan. Additionally, the program will include representatives from the Bar Association, judicial officers, advocates, field-level functionaries of the Tele-Law program under the DISHA scheme, police officials, as well as law students and faculty members.
The main focus of the event revolves around the concept of “Jan Sewa Janta ke Dwar” (“Public Service at the Doorsteps of the People”), which reflects our dedication to providing citizen-centric services and promoting inclusive development and empowerment. Various stalls, including those from citizen-centric departments and the Department of Justice, will be set up to offer all services in one convenient location. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the district administration to enhance accessibility.
The State-Level Workshop provides an opportunity to address upcoming challenges and strive for continuous improvement and innovation. It serves as a platform to share experiences, exchange best practices, and outline future endeavors towards creating a more responsive and inclusive iteration of our flagship programs. Additionally, the event will feature the release of the State Booklet of Rajasthan, highlighting essential state schemes and information about the Tele Law program.
