Leading Indian law firm Khaitan & Co acted for RTP Global SEA Ltd in connection with its role as the lead investor in a financing round for Ozi, committing roughly USD 4.9 million toward a total raise of USD 6.2 million.
RTP Global is an early-stage venture capital firm with a global presence across the US, Europe and Asia. It focuses on technology-driven B2B and B2C companies across sectors such as AI, B2B SaaS, DevOps, fintech, e‑commerce and retail, health, edtech, climate and transport.
Since 2000, RTP Global has backed entrepreneurs who went on to build billion‑dollar tech firms including Datadog, Delivery Hero and Cred.
Ózi develops and licences online platforms, including its web and mobile app “OZI.” The company also trades in children’s merchandise and offers related services such as warehousing, marketing, last‑mile delivery and customer support.
The Khaitan & Co team included Nidhi Killawala (Partner), Akhairaj Singh (Senior Associate), Shatakshi Gupta (Senior Associate) and Anannya Wal (Associate).
The intellectual property due-diligence was handled by Nirupam Lodha (Partner), Shivangi Narang (Principal Associate) and Palak Dwivedi (Associate).
OZi, founded by Amit Sah, operates in the development and licensing of online platforms covering both its website and the mobile app ‘OZi’. The company also deals in baby and kids’ products and provides related services such as warehousing, marketing, last-mile delivery and customer support.
According to the company, the new capital will be directed towards expanding OZi’s footprint across Gurugram and the NCR region, improving brand building and technology, and widening its overall product portfolio.
